I have been with MAN Marketing for more than five years and in the communications field for more than 30 years. My career began at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and then Nicor Gas. In my career, I wrote a weekly wellness column, taught engineers and accountants to be better writers and edited newsletters and magazines and was interviewed by Chicago reporters including Pam Zekman. There was a little detour for a few years spent as a grade school substitute teacher. (There is a particular third-grader that I will never forget. He had the entire class standing on their desks in a split second during “Simon Says!”)
Every day at MAN Marketing is different and I am constantly learning new things. The people who work here are top-notch and our clients are the best. As an organization, we work really hard to give our best efforts to our clients. I feel that I am a part of a great team.
It has been exciting in particular to be working on one of our home improvement accounts – Renewal by Andersen. We started with one franchisee, and are now working with many clients across the country. Projects for them include newspaper and digital advertising, direct mail, TV and radio spots. I have found my inner negotiator working to get the lowest advertising rate for our clients!
My husband and I are weekend canoeists. We have paddled most of the local rivers in the area and recently vacationed in Missouri, canoeing three rivers in five days. When the weather keeps me inside, I do jigsaw puzzles. I favor bright, colorful scenes with 1000 or more pieces.
